Getting There

By Air: The nearest airport is Julius Nyerere International Airport in Dar es Salaam. From there, it’s a 6-hour drive southwest to the park. For those already in Tanzania, charter flights are available from Dar es Salaam to Mikumi, which is close to Udzungwa.
By Road: From Dar es Salaam, visitors can drive or take a bus to Mikumi town, roughly 5 hours away. Another 45-minute drive brings you to the park’s entrance. Many safari operators offer guided transport options for a more comfortable journey.
